ABSTRACT
This study will be conducted to
investigate the relevance of labour saving equipment in meeting the challenges
of domestic work by career women in Ondo State.

The study is a survey research design
which consisted of all career women. Stratified random sampling technique was
used to select 50 career women. Self designed questionnaire was used for data
collection. The data were analyzed using percentage and chi-square (x2)
statistics at 0.05 level of significance.-

The result showed that there was

The study therefore, recommended
that, women should be encouraged and assisted in doing domestic work, the cost
of buying labour saving devices should be reduced to enable accessibility and

INTRODUCTION
In the olden days women are generally
regarded as weaker sex and biologically inferior to their man counterparts. In
this regard, there were no working class women in the society. They were only
relegated to domestic matters and were regarded as full house wives (Johnson

demand for labour saving equipment in homes. To a large extent women devoted
all their time and energies to complete their household responsibilities and
take adequate care of their families as well. But today the notion that women
are inferior to their men counterparts no longer hold, consequently, women had
been competing favourably with men especially in business endeavours
