
THE IMPACT OF JOB STRESS ON EMPLOYEES PERFORMANCE

ABSTRACT
The performance of workers nowadays
has been on a downward slope. This prompted the researcher to make research
into the effect of stress on employee’s performance in Nigeria
industries adopting Union Bank of Nigeria Ado Ekiti. Stress was deeply
researched into as one of the factors responsible for the fall in employees
performance by reviewing the related literature, eliciting information from
respondents and using the appropriate techniques (chi-square) to test the two
hypotheses formulated for this study and finding were made that stress truly do
have negative impact on employees performance and employees personal lives have
effects on their life at workplace. Thus, the researcher recommended that
proper measures should be put in place to ensure that causes of stress are
reduced and afterward, provide those things that will ease employee personal
lives. If these recommendations are strictly considered and applied, the
organization will move a greater height.
