EFFECTIVE USE OF ICT FOR THE PROMOTION OF LEARNING OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE IN SOME SELECTED SECONDARY SCHOOLS
ABSTRACT
This study investigated the effective
use of information and communication. Technology (I.C.T) for the promotion of
leaning of the English in secondary schools. Based on extensive review of
related Literatures some research questions were formulated or guide the

data were collected through questionnaires which consist of two forms one for
teachers and the other for students. The data were collected from 100 students
and 50 teachers in the ten selected secondary schools in Ikere Ekiti Local
Government Area of Ekiti State. Survey types of descriptive design method were
adopted and the data were analyzed using simple percentage. The result revealed
that the effective use of information and communication Technology (I.C.T) for
the promotion of leaning of the English language in secondary schools in Ikere
Ekiti local Government area of Ekiti state is not really felt because of the
poor availability of such facilities and
